Cornell M. Burke is a beginning violinist who seeking help in funding his Bible Studies, academics and violin instruction.

Cornell M. Burke attends a private Christian School in the Hampton Roads area; he has been promoted to the 1st grade. We received a small scholarship from the school; however it was a struggle to make those payments each month. Especially, after my job reduced my hours from 40 down to 10 hours a week. Most people would have just quit, I worked three jobs and self employment because I knew that I wanted my son in a Christian based academic environment. However, it is taking quite a toll on me mentally and physically.

This year I expect that there will be more reductions, so I am reaching out through this resource in hopes that people come together to help me to fund my son’s schooling. We are working to raise the amount for the total number of years for his formal education grades 1-12 and his music education.

In addition, he shows great promise in music with his violin. Cornell developed an interest in the violin at age 4. Still showing interest at age 5 we began him with private lessons. I racked up coins that I had saved for nearly 10 years to pay for the lessons on a weekly basis. Recently, a concert violinist took interest in Cornell’s talent and has taken him on as his protégé. However, Cornell is in need of a violin and the lessons still cost.

It would be easy for me to give up, but as a parent I can’t. I am setting aside my dreams so that my son can fulfill his. Your help will enable him to make his dreams come true.
