The family and friends of Pete Robell are uniting to raise money to help him with his battle against cancer.

Pete was diagnosed with stage 4 Metastatic Lung, Liver and Bone Cancer in August 2012. We have spent the last 2 months rejoicing each day we have been given with him and are thankful for each and ever doctor that has been treating him just to give us another day. However, the area doctors that he has been seeing just can’t seem to treat Pete as aggressively as the cancer is still growing. Pete has finally decided that for the treatment that he is really needing is for him to be taken to a more advanced hospital that can take care of the needs that he is in need of which is The Cancer Treatment Center of America in Philadelphia Pa. As many of you might know, there is no cure for cancer in it’s entirely and prognosis for what is now stage 4 is not good. However, we remain hopeful that he will beat the odds, and grateful for each day we are given.
Pete is wonderful husband and father of 2 great kids. He is also the best grand father to his one grand son Anthony. Pete is not able to work due to the frequency of recurrences and treatment needed to fight this. He was forced to retire from local 1291 longshoremen association the day that he was told the outcome of his illness. His wife is a stay at home care giver to him and is not able to find a job that will be able to provide the care that he needs. So far the insurance company has agreed to provide the insurance to him for 6 months to a year. That is a plus but due to no money coming in due to him not being able to work the bills just keeps coming in. With the uphill battle that we as a family are concurring it has drained our family both mentally and financially. Pete is in the battle of his life right now and the mounting bills are a worry and he can’t focus on the fight. He is just stressing out on how to pay the bills instead of how to keep his fight going. We can't change this disease, but we can change how they fight it! Thank you all for your donations, support and most importantly prayers. We do believe in miracles and we pray for one each day.
God Bless you.
