The family and friends of Jason are raising money to help him fight heart disease and muscular dystrophy. He needs our help!

Jason is a happy 16 year old in spite of his fight with Muscular Dystrophy. He is an inspiration to us all! Now, we need to be an inspiration to him.

In 2006, Jason was diagnosed with an unknown form of Muscular Dystrophy. Over the past six years, doctors performed DNA tests, Muscle Biopsies, Nerve Condition Tests and Echo Cardiograms, and still had no idea what form of MD Jason had. Jason's muscles were slowly breaking down, but his heart was healthy.

Throughout the years, Jason has broken bones, gone through pain, but always got up and tried again. Last year, Jason fell off the bleachers in the school gym. We found a neurologist who agreed to finally set Jason up with a surgeon who specialized with MD contractors. As a requirement for this surgery they wanted a complete heart work up to just make sure he was healthy enough for surgery.

Two weeks ago, Jason's appointment with the cardiologist changed his life forever. He was told that he had possible blockage in his heart, and also atrial flutter. That night, Jason started having chest pain. He was rushed to the emergency room, and his pulse was 52 bpm. He was in atrial flutter, and went straight into surgery to install the pacemaker.

The pacemaker does the job most of the time, but cannot completely correct the heart problems Jason has. Jason is suffering from two separate heart issues related to MD. The first is Atrial Flutter and the second Complete heart block. He will be on medication for the rest of his life, and has to monitor his heart daily.

The equipment is expensive. The mediation is expensive. Jason has insurance but the co-pay is so high they can't always afford his medication. The co-pay one one of his medications is $500.00/month's supply.

Through all of this, Jason is strong. He is not only strong, but he is smiling every day. Lets be an inspiration to a young man that needs our support. Please, help me raise money to get him the medication he needs!
