My name is Becky; I am a 29 year old single mother. I fully believe that your prayers are why I am alive today.

During the last two years I have been affected by many ailments, including an unknown rash that covered almost every inch of my body. After seeing many different doctors and trying many different treatments, I still had no diagnosis and no way to get rid of the rash. Then around Christmas my symptoms began to overtake my body and affect my everyday life. Fatigue and Flu like symptoms kept me in bed for months.

After a cross country move I went to see a new doctor, my life would never be the same. My new doctor ordered a chest x-ray to see if i had pneumonia, what they found was enlarged Lymph nodes. Later CT and PET scans confirmed there was cancer present in my entire Lymph system including my spleen and Liver. A lymph node biopsy gave us a diagnosis no one was prepared for, Stage 4 Histiocytic Sarcoma.

Histiocytic Sarcoma is very rare, only a few hundred cases are reported in literature. Imaging studies revealed that the cancer in my lymph nodes was compressing my airways and heart. I was given a chemotherapy called ICE that was unsuccessful then i received thirteen radiation treatments which shrank the lymph nodes in my chest, allowing my breathing to return to normal.

After almost two months in hospitals, I am growing stronger every day. The doctors have found an experimental chemotherapy called Brentuxamab that seems to be working well. After only two treatments we are looking at the next step, Bone Marrow Transplant.

After meeting with the specialists we realized all the expenses that we will have over the next 12 months. I will have to move closer to the hospital and have a caregiver 24/7 for at least 3 month following the transplant, possibly longer if there are complications. I also need to be prepared if the treatment does not work. Unfortunately this all cost money.

Every donation is much appreciated. And PLEASE pass my page on to everyone you know.
