The family and friends of Sandra Burroughs are uniting to raise money to help her with her battle against Multiple Sclerosis.

“Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans“
~ John Lennon

Sandra was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 29.
Today she can barely walk. There is no known cure for this disease.

In MS, the body's own immune system attacks and damages the brain cells and spinal cord. Almost any neurological symptom can appear with the disease, and often progresses to physical and cognitive disability.
Life expectancy of people with MS is 5 to 10 years lower than that of the unaffected population.

Sandra's husband left her when things started to get serious with the disease, he said he didn't want a crippled wife.

As the disease is progressing, Sandra is no longer able to walk the stairs and she is currently living in a house where she has to walk three flights up to her apartment. Because of this, she barely leaves the house anymore.

Her insurance is only covering one third of the medication she would need in order to get better.

Besides medical equipment and funds for medical bills she also would need an apartment that will suit her needs and the funds to move there.

Even though she's visually impaired and physically disabled we never heard a single word of complaint from her. We admire her ability to cheer people up and always be there for others, no matter how she bad she is doing.

By raising money for Sandra we want to thank her for always being there for other people and show her that others out there care about her, too and that she's not alone.
