Create a fundraiser like this has set up the HELP HAITI group to raise necessary aid for the people of Haiti after the 7.0 earthquake that struck on January 12, 2010. To start your own fundraising page for the people of Haiti click \"join group.\"

On January 12, 2010 Haiti was struck by a magnitude-7.0 earthquake—the country's worst earthquake in over 200 years. Over 100,000 lives were lost, and some think that number could be closer to 500,000. The capital city was destroyed, the Presidential Palace was horribly damaged, and the UN mission headquarters and National Cathedral were ruined. Haiti must be rebuilt from the ground up immediately, and its citizens need our help.

Here are two ways YOU can help.

(1)  Donate to any of the "Top Fundraisers" on this page.

(2)  Magnify your efforts by clicking the orange "Join Group" button to start your own fundraising page where you can ask your friends and family to donate.

You can choose to raise money for any US-based aid organization.  If you are not sure which organzation you would like to raise money for, we have selected four organizations that we trust and recommend. Feel free to copy and paste their descriptions and information for your own personal fundraising page.

Your gift to the American Red Cross will support emergency relief and recovery efforts to help those people affected by the earthquake in Haiti. Assistance provided by the American Red Cross may include deploying personnel, sending relief supplies, and providing financial resources.
