The twenty30somethings of Dunwoody UMC are responding to the call. Hundreds of thousands of people died in the earthquake and DUMC is going to help with construction work, medical help, and relationship building with the community.

Hundreds of thousands of people died in the earthquake. More than that were severly injured. Millions are displaced. The United Methodist church has been on the ground in relief efforts from day one. In fact we lost one of our local mission organizers in the quake.

Our church is working with United Methodist Volunteers in Mission. They are part of our connectional system which is working closely with the Methodist church in Haiti to identify needs in local communities. Mission teams are invited to help the locals rebuild homes and reconstruct churches or church realated agencies (i.e. orphanages, clinics).

I will be traveling with our church to Haiti from Oct 20-27.  DUMC subsidizes a lot of the cost, but the trip is still $500/person.  I am hoping you will help support me in this very important mission.
