The family and friends of Megan Wharry are unting to raise money so Megan can have a seizure response dog. Please show your support!

My name is Megan Wharry, I am15, and I have epilepsy. I am trying really hard to raise enough money so I can have a seizure response dog. Because I never know when I am going to have a seizure, the things I can do are limited. For example, I cannot go swimming, bike riding or even play video games without supervision. I can’t cook without having someone in the kitchen with me and I can’t even see 3D movies. That is definitely not the way a teenager wants to live! Having a seizure response dog will not only help keep me safe, but it will allow me to have more independence.
Seizure response dogs are trained to respond to their person when they have a seizure. The dog can fetch medicine, break a fall or even dial 9-1-1. Sometimes, these dogs can detect when their person will have a seizure. This way, the person can get to a safe place before the seizure happens. I would really like to go swimming with my friends or make myself some eggs without my parents watching over my shoulder. Have a seizure response dog will allow that.
