Batty is in need of a specialized blood work, Cardiac Ultrasound and ongoing Cardiac Care.

Please help with any donation no matter how little.  Just a donation of $1 by many will help us succeed in saving Batty’s life!!!!

Last December 29, 2011 we lost our beloved cat Psyche to heart disease when he was just 12 years old. This September we found out our Batty 8 years old has the same cardiac condition – grade 3 heart murmur with Cardiomyopathy—is the measurable deterioration of the function of the myocardium (the heart muscle) for any reason, usually leading to heart failure.  Because of this Batty is in need of a specialized blood work, Cardiac Ultrasound and ongoing Cardiac Care.  If he can get the Cardiac Ultrasound and proper medications he will have many years ahead of him.

Last year trying to save Psyche we drained our savings and are just trying to save our baby's life.  Any help you can provide helps our family immensely. If not he will suffer the same fate as our Psyche.

Recently, Batty went to the vet for a follow up, and it is suspected, based on his heartbeat, that his heart condition worsened and he is starting to suffer from heart failure. Without the series of tests it is difficult to access the condition fully. The vet believes that with a proper assessment and medication his life expectancy is many years. We have already spent thousands of dollars on our fur babies, but our savings have dwindled away & we’ll be damned if I don't try everything in our power to save our baby.

Please help support care for Batty. The money requested is to help get the care he needs to hopefully give him a better quality of life in the coming (hopefully) years. If any funds can be spared after medical bills are paid, it will be donated to a rescue cat organization.

Batty’s Veterinarian contact details are as follows if you want to confirm:  Banfield Pet Hospital  at1386 Atwood Avenue #40 Johnston, RI 02919 (401) 942-2259.   Once funds are raised he will be going to Ocean State Veterinary Specialists at 1480 South County Trail East Greenwich, RI 02818  (401) 886-6787.
