Been inspired years ago to go to the Himalayas on a NOLS course to learn mountaineering, and thereafter, the ultimate goal: Climb Mount McKinley, the highest point in North America, at 20,20 feet.

Hello, My name is Michael.  I am 17 and want to accomplish a dream.  Many people have told me this dream is too big and out of the question.  I am the kind of guy that will make it happen.  It WILL happen.  Faith, Prayed, Work, and God's Blessings, which are you, is how this will work.  This dream is a few parts, first I want to learn mountaineering by a professional, that profession is NOLS, the National Outdoor Leadership School.  I want to take their course in the Himalayas.  It is 40 days long and teaches all mountaineering skills, which the potential to camp at 18,000 feet.  Second, I want to bring those skills back home, and climb Mt. Mckinley, The highest mountain in North America, at over 20,000 feet, just 9,000 feet shorter than Everest.  This would also be through a special courrse offered by NOLS.  I have given so much thought and time into this, I think about it everyday.  I eat, sleep, and breathe this dream.  I work long hours brekaing my back doing odd jobs to try to save the money, but there is no way I will even be close.  I would like to do this next summer, before I get settled with my small business.  I also promise that this is being done in the safest manner possible, by doing it with professionals and a school with an excellent reutation.  NOLS has even done work for the US Government.  Thank you SO much, you will never know how much this means to me, I have wanted to do  this ever since my first hiking trip.  This will be the only chance I have to do it, because I want to be there for my future family.  I won't be able to spent 40 days in the Himalayas and then 30 in the Alaska Range, with worried kids, and all in the same few months.  Yes, i could spread the courses out, but again, I want to do this as safely as humanly possible, and the best way to do that is to attempt McKinley right after the course in the Himalayas, while the skills are still sharp and clear in my mind.  Thank you SO much, again, and God bless you, I will thank him everyday for any donation I receive.
