All I wish for my uncle is to be safe and obtain quality of life, a place where he can be as independant as possible.

My uncle Mert needs a home that is more accessible for him. i want to set up a fund to raise money for him...
My uncle is the last surviving sibling with Muscular Dystrophy, out of 8 kids in his family, i want him to be comfortable. in case this goes the way i pray it will, hope to get him a wheel chair van with lift as well.
i am going to piece together a story to add to this as soon as someone lets me know how to go about setting up a fund for Merts Home/ Van...
here is a little bit about my family
Let me express to you why I feel the need to inspire anyone out there who can donate funds to my uncles house fund..
My uncle Mert had many siblings , Mary, Kathy, Chuck, Mike, Jim, Bill, Bob, out of which 5 had MD, my Dad, Jim, and Bob do not have this retched disease but the rest did, not to forget grandma Donna ,rip, has passed as well. I say did because we watched the others die from this disease or relation from it. MD is progressing and I need this to happen for him soon. He is all I have. He is my best friend. Unfortunately I as a young child did not realize what credit was or I would have taken care of mine better to be able to provide on my own for my uncle and see that he is comfortable. I have had this idea for some time now to help him find a better place of his own where he can get about on his own, shower in his own shower, basically just BE. If you saw his place now, you would see it really does not meet his needs. No ramp, no easy access shower, steps, narrow doorways, too high counters…on and on.
It is easy to take everyday actions for granted, I know Mert does not; I just want him to be happy and live like anyone would want to live. Please help me make this become a reality for my uncle. A safe home that he can live in and a van with a lift to get around.
With all my prayers of goodwill
Cindy Welch
God bless you…
