Andreas' family and friends are uniting to raise money to help with his battle against Leukemia. Please show your support!
On October 18th, 2013 Andreas Economopoulos was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). This obviously came as a shock to Andreas, his family and friends. Andreas' particular form of ALL tested positive for the Philadelphia Chromosome, a genetic mutation that affects less than 10% of adults with ALL. It is likely that he will need a bone marrow transplant in addition to the already required chemotherapy and medication.
It goes without saying that Andreas is one heck of a guy. He is a loving husband, devoted father, committed friend and an excellent boss. He would also want us to mention his superb soccer skills, his 200+ yard drives on the golf course and his various winnings in poker tournaments...but we will save those stories for him to tell. Those of you that have had the pleasure of spending any amount of time around him will know that Andreas is the last person that deserves a disease such as this. As they say, cancer sucks...but there is plenty of hope and if anyone can beat this thing it is Andreas!
You all know that Andreas is a fighter and more importantly, he is a winner. His competitive, give-it-everything-you-got spirit will take him far in this battle. The financial implications are not entirely known and are dependent on a variety of factors.
For his entire life, Andreas has given of himself to so many causes. Whether it is sponsoring events for abused children, for philanthropic efforts abroad or participating in various charity events around the city, Andreas is always there to help. For once, Andreas is in need of assistance. Most important is your support through thought and prayer but also through monetary donations.
His co-workers here at Professional Insight have set this page up in an effort to curtail some of the financial burden that this disease will place on he and Amy so that he can focus on what he needs to do: get better so that he can keep being the guy that we all know and love.
Any amount will help and every dollar is appreciated.
Andreas would never ask for help but we, his friends and his family can step up and provide a relief in an otherwise harrowing situation. Thank you all for your time.
