I know that Kara will appreciate this tremendously. She has remained very positive and faithful during these last couple of trying years

So, let me start by telling you about Kara Didier, who by the way just turned 35. I first met Kara when she was orientating with Bella and came into my hospital room when I had my last of 5, Eva. She voluntarily offered to take some group shots of my tribe (knew right then this was going to be one hard working dedicated babe!) She didn’t disappoint me. She worked full time at a local school but that didn’t stop her from working for us every free day that she could. Every Saturday, any days she had off from school and more days through the summer. She eventually helped us bring on a small hospital that would only require one photographer a day and some days not at all. Shortly after she started with Bella she started to have some medical problems…experienced weight loss, then was having trouble with joint pain and then eventually some respiratory issues. She never let it get in the way of photographing though, she still was there at the hospital. After 2 years of literally hundreds of tests, several different diagnosis and eventually being told that she could not continue to work for the school, the doctor’s told her that she had irreversible lung damage as a result of rheumatoid arthritis. I’m sure Kara would explain this a whole lot better with all the proper medical terms as she is also a very good writer, but I’m trying to keep this rather short for you.
Here’s where you come in. She’s almost completed all the test and met all of the requirements for her double lung transplant. As I mentioned, she has irreversible lung damage that has left her with very little lung capacity. Kara’s husband Doug is a local Sheriff and works for hard for his community, but you can imagine the toll that this has taken on the family and their finances with Kara not being able to work and Doug having to take time off for the many trips to Cleveland. They also manage to keep up with their 3 school age kids as well.

So, I hope that you will join me in sending a donation (and a little note of encouragement) to Kara to help with the cost of her journey for new lungs.
