Raising funds to purchase 2 Ipads for our two very special children to help them learn.

We received our first Ipad from a very wonderful lady over 300 miles away. It is a great blessing. The kids were all smiles. I already have put Jacobs spelling words into an app and it is amazing. The first thing he used it for was in Sunday School. Usually he does not do well in there but, he used an app on the Ipad to write his Bible verse. It was awesome. With a pending generous donation of a new/used Ipad I will be changing this site to accept donations for the Special Needs Apps for the Ipads the kids will need to help them learn. Also, I will be starting a fundraiser site to see if we can get more donations of used Ipads for Special Needs children and pass them out to the kids. What a great day!!!!!!
We are an special needs adoption home of five special needs children. Some range from mental illnesses to Asperger, Cystic Fibrosis and Intellectual disabilities. Two of which are having great difficulty with learning. One going into the 4th grade is still not able to read and the other going into the 3rd grade still functions on a preschool level. We were able to move the 3rd grader to a new school which had an IPAD in the classroom and she really loves it. The programs are wonderful and she is actually able to understand how to use it. You see the light bulb click on and the excitement she has using the IPAD. We would love to be able to get both of them one, but we are just not able to.
Jacob came to us a 34 wk premature out of the hospital after his parents neglected him. He had RSV, Failure to Thrive and his weight dropped down to 4.4lbs. We knew from the start that he was a unique child. The only reason that he is alive is through God's grace. His twin siblings had left their apartment with no supervision and it was the end of January. A social worker just happened to be at that complex and seen them and called it in. Jacob was very ill and not expected to live. Now he is a thriving 9 year old but, can only function on medications. Any changes to his daily routines ruins his days. Go figure God sending an social worker at the right time!!! God's Grace
Whitney came to my best friend into her foster home after her parents would not give or get her medications to treat her Cystic Fibrosis. Her older sister age nine told the social workers that she tried her best to help Whitney and begged them to not to take Whitney away. Whitney's parents only came to two visits with her in 2 years time, one at the beginning and one good bye visit. Whitney has to go through so much ever day, numerous medications and hours of treatments just to stay out of the hospital and yet still has been hospitalized so many times to remember or count.
On top of it all they both have great difficulties in learning and if one thing can help them to learn I am going try my best to provide it to them no matter the cost.

Are you willing to help my child learn?
