This is a fund raising effort to raise money so that I can get my commercial pilots license and a bachelors degree.

I live in a dump, I have no job, and I really want a better life. My family has always struggled with money. For most of my life we have lived on fixed income from the government, barely making enough for food and trying to pay off a mortgage that never seems to go away.

I finally feel like I might have a chance to make something better out of this situation but am having trouble finding the money for it.

My career goal is to become a commercial pilot for a major airline. This is a long term goal and I hope to fly for charities in Africa or South America before that. I found a college that both offers an online bachelors degree (that's all major airlines require as far as traditional education goes) and all the certificates I need to fly single & twin engine aircraft, jets, and commercial jets(airliners) along with all of the intrument ratings required.

This is provided by a for profit intitution called ATP or Airline Transport Professionals. They have teamed up with Mountain State University to offer the bachelors degree to go with the certifications. It is highly targeted to be the most relevant bachelors degree in the field.

The problem is that it is a fast track course, taking only 16 months from zero-time to commercial pilot and bachelors degree so I don't qualify for 4 years worth of government loans leaving me stuck with $70,000 that I need to raise. I have no way of raising this money myself and am looking for some compassionate people to help me out. I have always believed in charities and donate when I don't have money myself if the cause is something I believe in. I feel if I have a career that I enjoy and am making some good money, I can live comfortably and be able to give back to the world that gave to me.

I really appreciate all of you that donate, and if you don't it would still be a success if you at least pass the word on to anyone you know.

The money will be spent as follows, a few grand will be spent on supplies such as books and equipment (flight journals etc.) and the rest will be spent entirely on the course cost which is about $85,000 (I am hoping that the first chunk of that will be paid by Stafford Loans).

I really need to make this happen, thank you for looking and may you and your family live a prosperous and happy life.
