Friends of Lynne Serewicz are raising funds for urgent medical tests & care for her best friend & companion, Moonshadow. Please help?

"Moonshadow is a classy 8 year old girl, who was rescued semi-feral off the city streets by a wonderful man named Tom. Tom gave her to his mother, to be a constant companion. She has been the light of her life ever since. But, she's sick and we need help to figure out what is wrong.

The last two years have been hard on Lynne, Moonshadow's human. Tom was killed by a drunk driver, July 17, 2010. Then Lynne was forced from her home where she raised her children to a new one in a bad part of town without her family. She is disabled and has a hard time making ends meet on a meager disability income. Moonshadow has been there for her during the grieving process as the constant companion Tom meant her to be. She is a link to her only son, who she misses dearly. Lynne has sustained a lot of hits to her spirit, but refuses to give up on Moonshadow.

What we need now is money to get Moonshadow testing on her throat, because she is having trouble eating and swallowing and is in pain, and her eye shows signs of infection. An indoor cat, well cared for, should be able to overcome, with the proper care. Lynne can scrape up the money for her kitty to get her there, but definitely cannot afford the xrays, blood work, and other testing it will take to find out what is wrong with Moonshadow. She's already been seen through the free first visit program, and the outline of work for proper diagnosis is roughly 600.00, and then of course there will be the cost of whatever the treatment will be and follow up care.

It's the Thanksgiving season, so please give what you can to help Moonshadow. Even a few dollars will help her get to the vet and help reach a diagnosis. We will be thankful for everything we get to help this special cat get the vet care she needs. "
