Friends of Avery's family are uniting to raise money to help with her battle against Trisomy 17. Please show your support for this angel.

Avery was born on June 18th, 2012. Her parents knew before she was born that her life was going to be full of unknowns when they were told she had Trisomy 17 Mosaicism, which is the most rare chromosomal abnormality in humans. This angel spent the first 3 months of her life at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh where she underwent many tests, blood transfusions, and even surgery to place a g-tube so she can eat. She was released to go home, but that was short lived, she returned to childrens due to her vomitting blood. They gave her medicine, sent her home again and shortly after was taken back to the hospital because the vomitting blood started again. This time they decided to change her g-tube to a gj. This means her food no longer goes into her stomach, but goes right into her intestines. She remains at the hospital still because now her vomit is green which could mean there is a blockage somewhere. This poor angel needs prayers and support and so does her family. We need to share her story because the more who know about it the more chances this family might get answers. This condition is so rare the doctors don't know what they are dealing with or what to expect. Not only do they have medical bills from the hospital, but while there it is a two hour drive to and from the hospital for the family who also have a two year old daughter at home. When Avery is home there are even more expenses to keep her home. This family deserves a break and we can help them with some of the stress of having a child with such a unknown disease by easing their financial troubles. The mother had to quit her job to be able to be there for Avery especially when she is home. Please show your support for her. On, November 17th, 2012 Avery was rushed to the ICU unit of Children's Hospital her heart rate elivated, bleeding from the rectum, throwing up coffee ground looking stuff, having difficulty breathing and a distended hard stomach. They had to put her on a vent and put a chest tube in due to an air pocket in her lung, they had to do a blood transfusion and they sedated her. They are looking for a blockage or a twisted bowel. No other news as of right now, but they need our prayers.
