John and Judy Wright Are to people that go out of their way to help Children live a better life! Now its our turn to give back to them!

John and Judy Wright have cared for 54 children during their 11 years as foster parents. On Nov. 9, they will be recognized by the Michigan State Foster Care Review Board when they are awarded the Foster Parents of the Year Award. The Lake Orion couple was nominated by their Michigan-based agency, the nonprofit Ennis Center for Children.Despite the difficulties that often come with fostering, the Wrights said they have treasured the experience."My husband says: 'If you don't believe in God, come to our house,'" said Judy Wright, 59. "We got to see miracles every day."Why did you decide to foster? We just felt called to keep a child safe and loved and to do our part, while the state did (its) part. What ages do you take in? We are certified for ages zero to 3. We've also had siblings groups … just whatever they call us for we take usually. Are you fostering currently? We don't have any placements. My husband has just been diagnosed with lung cancer … we're taking a little break from (fostering). I don't know if we'll be able to get back to it.Can you share a story about a child you have fostered? The story (that we were nominated for) was a little girl, Jayden, who was not expected to survive. She was 2 months old … she had been born prematurely. She had actually 27 diagnoses on her discharge (form). I started her on donated breast milk … after that, she blossomed. But when she was 9 months old she still weighed maybe 12 pounds. I took her for an MRI and … they discovered she was born with no pancreas. We also took her baby brother, Michael, when he was born a year later. How are they doing? We did find a family for them. They are ministers and they adopted both (siblings). In my opinion they are the heroes of the story; we did it for a year and a half and they'll do it for a lifetime.

This is a why im wanting to Raise money for them, They have spent 11 years helping children live a better life and now John Wright has cancer, John Wright is a War Veteran who has no Insurance. Jon gets some help from Medicare but its not enough. Please help any way you can These people deserve so much for all they've done!
