2 Ryans Success to raise funds for travel-lodging for himself and caregiver/driver for fusion surgery he has waited 6.5 yrs for, 9 hrs. away

What if you were seriously injured in an on the job accident? Workers Comp would cover it right? Think again!

Ryan sustained a rare Thoracic Spine Flexion Distraction injury at T-3 in June 2005 while on the Job in Jackson, WY. Correct diagnosis took nearly a year with the "fix" being 3-4 level fusion. He has not worked since briefly in Aug 2005. Although Worker's Comp initially approved compensation and medical care, they soon reversed their position leading to 2 Hearings and a filing with the WY State Supreme Court. On the eve of the 3rd Hearing for denial of the surgery, WC's Head Lawyer reversed the denial and scheduling of this surgery is now in progress but is slow to come full circle.

That part thankfully is done. At some point, he will finally be able to obtain the surgery but family funds have been depleted while waiting. In addition to not being able to work for the last 6.5 years, his Spinal Surgeon left the area forcing travel 9 hours away for the last 2 years to Cheyenne for the closest qualified Dr. and pain management epidurals, facet blocks and rhizotomies.

To dispell misinformation, none of these trips to Cheyenne have been paid for by WY Workers Comp. They refuse to do so. This is one of the items currently submitted to the WY Supreme Court for Appeal.

He needs assistance with continuing travel costs and lodging for a caregiver/driver through his surgery until his release. Social Security Disability benefits have also been denied and that claim is in Judicial review.
