The family and friends of Vantheu Vang would like to come together and help him with his battle against Aplastic Anemia and Thrombocytopenia

Van was diagnosed with Thrombocytopenia (low platelets) in 2007, after a few years of different failed treatments, a bone marrow transplant was the only answer.

In March of 2011, he was admitted to UCLA Medical Center for a bone marrow transplant. His numbers were promising after a month of the transplant, but two months after, he was hit with a sever case of graft vs host.

Van is a husband and father to "5 Little Monkeys." We remain hopeful that he will get through this. He is not able to work due to the frequency of platelet and blood infusions. For now this is the only option sustaining his counts. His wife of 9 years is the family's sole care provider, which makes it hard for her to find work. Their private insurance does not cover all treatments and tests. UCLA is also a 1 1/2 hour trip from home. After 5 years of trying to understand this disease it has become a financial and mental toll.

We are waiting for a second infusion of his sister's cells. This is suppose to be a booster for his system. We thank you all for your donations, support and most importantly prayers. We do believe in miracles and we pray for one each day.

God Bless You,

The Vang Family
