Family and friends of Loryn English unite to raise money to beat her Breast Cancer once and for all! Thank you for joining in the fight!

My mom,Loryn was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1997 after going to a Gynecologist the year before. This Dr. overlooked a (small lump) and put her on HRT for an unrelated problem. Her (small lump) grew to be a 6cm tumor within the year (stage 4) and she underwent a Mastectomy followed by 6 mos of Chemotherapy. She took the drug Tamoxifen for 5 years to block the hormones that fed her cancer. She relocated to Ohio with her husband and children where her husband had family and she found work. In 2003 mom had a check-up which showed tumors on her spine. The breast cancer had spread to her bones. Her Oncologist started giving her Aredia which blocked the hormones again but mom showed signs of a bad side-effect which was necritis of the jawbone (jawbone dies). She had to stop the Aredia and the Dr. did not follow up with the progression of the tumors. When mom started having horrible arm and back pains she went back to the Oncologist and insisted on having tests done. The Cancer had spread to all of the bones from the hip to the neck and tumors in the arm had caused a fracture giving her unbelievable pain. Mom showed great strength and would not give up because during this time in 2010 and 2011 mom also had 2 Back Surgeries where they gave her 4 screws during Spinal Fusion. Moms treatment, as you might think, has put an unbelievable strain on her family and a horrific financial burden since she is disabled and unable to work. She needs help with the ongoing costs that Insurance doesn't cover as well as the usual costs of living, not to mention the piling up of costly medications. 15 yrs. is a long time to exist with Cancer (and other health problems as well) and she relies on the love for her children and 2 young grand-children to get her through the extensive Radiation and Chemotherapy treatments and an endless stream of tests and therapies. Mom needs to know there are people who care and want to give her hope to beat this horrible Cancer once and for all! Thank you beforehand for all you do to help MY MOM's cause
