Family & friends of Techy Roy are uniting to raise money to help with her battle Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia. Please show your support!

on March 5, 2010 our lives were changed when I was diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia. CML is the rapid growth of immature cells that make a certain type of white blood cells. Such cells are found in the bone marrow, blood, and other body tissues. CML most often occurs in middle-aged adults and in children, and it is very rare for adults between the age of 20 to 50 to get it, but for some Godly reason I got it. It is usually associated with an abnormal chromosome called the Philadelphia chromosome.

For the past two years I have tried two different kinds of chemotherapy and sadly they have not worked. Last September my doctors gave us the news that having a bone marrow transplant would be the only way to find a cure. They asked that my siblings be tested to see if any would match. To God be the glory, my brother Guido was my perfect match, 10 out of 10. After we had the great news that he was my match, God had another surprise for us when I visited the doctor. The new chemo was working and we could put everything on hold. Great our prayers were answered! We decided to go on a family vacation in April had the time of our lives. Life couldn't get any better.

But on May 4 the news that I was not ready for was given to me. "There is nothing we can do, you have to get the transplant." I thought I would be ok when that time came but the human in me was not. After a couple hours of crying and asking Kenny what if... I thanked God for everything he has give me and that my brother was my match. Do you know the are 10,000 people in the waiting list to find a match and God had mine right next to me! So I wiped my tears and decided it was the best thing to do. I have been blessed with a great family wonderful friends and did I say the BEST HUSBAND AND DAUGHTERS in the world!

On July 11, 2012 I will be checking in at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Research Hospital Center in Tampa, Florida and on July 17, 2012, which happens to be Kenny's and I's 19th wedding anniversary, I will receive my brothers new stem cells and my new life will begin. Sadly, all of this comes at a large price. I'm blessed that my insurance and being part of a research hospital will pay for almost the entire cost of the procedure. But we have to come up with a co-payment that is bigger that we were expecting ten thousand dollars $10,000.00! We have never done this before but we ask that you pray and search deep in your heart to see if there is any way you can help us. Every little bit will have a big impact!
