Family & friends of Brandi Mack Welch are uniting to raise money to help with her battle against breast cancer. Please show your support!
Her signature color is now pink.
She was was diagnosed with cancer on October 18, 2012.
Breast Cancer-Stage IIIB - triple negative cancer. This type of cancer is very aggressive and it grows and spreads rapidly. The biopsy of her liver came back positive for cancer so she's now considered Stage IV as it has metastasized into an organ.
She's told it's now incurable.
But she's NOT giving up.
Brandi has shared her journey through an online journal. In reading her entries I saw something beautiful. She only worries how her cancer is affecting her loved ones around her. How they will handle it. How they will adjust to the changes that are happening. I never witnessed her writings expressing anger or self-pity. Which leads me to know what I've always known about her, she's a fighter.
The most beautiful moment in her entries to me was this: "Sweet Trip (her baby boy) saw my bald head and he smiled, then rubbed it, gave me a huge hug and followed that up with a big ol' sloppy kiss. When he kisses he says MWAH really loud, it's so cute. That made me smile."
Brandi is a woman like you, your mom, your sister...like anyone you know...she's a woman like me. She has a family, love, goals and dreams. The only difference? Brandi has cancer. In seeing her story over the last 5 months I am blown away by her fight. No matter how much chemo, tests or how sick or tired she is, she manages to find the positive side...even in the bad news.
Diagnosis, tests, treatments, medications, prognosis, and so many of the things in her future like mastectomy, continual medicinal & chemo treatments are all beyond my realm of comprehension. To be able to explain it all in such a small amount of time is impossible. I can't imagine what it is to be in Brandi's position, none of us can. But, we can help. Please join me in this online fundraiser to help her and her family during her fight with breast cancer. We all may not be able to understand cancer firsthand, but we can understand financial hardship, as we have all been there at one time or another.
Brandi is strong and will be a survivor of breast cancer!

No financial gift is too small.
