I am trying to raise money to help my mom with medical bills when she goes for her transplant surgery. .

Back in 2002 my mother Suzann Chiuppi was diagonsed with Polycystic Liver Disease. For the past 10 years she has been dealing with doctors taking blood, cat scans, MRIs, exrays you name it she's been through it. In case you haven't heard of it here is a brief description of what it is PLD, or Polycystic Liver Disease, is inherited either with liver cysts alone or with both liver and kidney cysts. The liver tissue becomes infused with 20 or more cysts, resulting in a hardening of the liver texture. As liver cysts continue to expand, over-filling the liver, this creates a constant compression of adjacent internal organs. Eight times as many women are affected as men. For 92% of us, this liver expansion causes minimal problems; however, 8% of PLD patients go on to develop a more severe form of this disease. with a myriad of symptoms caused by critical compression of adjacent organs. Cystic liver size is at the root of many of our difficulties. PLD rarely affects liver functioning however sometimes PLD diminishes the metabolism of estrogen through our cystic livers and rarely liver functioning can become compromised. For my mother she falls into the 8% category. At this point her liver is so enlarged all the doctors can do is a transplant. This is a very dangerous surgery and can have lots of complications. There is no Liver specialist in the State of Nevada. The nearest one is in San Diego, California. For the past year my parents have taken several trips down there to see the doctor. They do have her on the list for a transplant, but we have no idea when she will go in for the surgery. All we know at this point is she will only have 4-6 hours to get there once she gets the phone call. Then she is there for a minimum of 3 months. My father will be down there will her as will I on the weekends. As long as they are both down there bills here will still need to be paid, but no income coming in. When she gets home she may not have a job so that wil make things that much for difficult for them. Medical bills are already starting to pile up on them and this has only just begun. I can't change the fact that she has this and got stuck with the 8% more severe symptoms, but I would like to make their lives a little easier. We appreciate any donations, support and most importantly prayers. We know every test and every trip down there is one step closer for her to live a nomal life.

Even if you can't affrod to donate but would like to help in some way please send me an email at just be sure to put in the subject something regarding the fundraiser so I know its a legit email.
