Storm washed away everything of our sister and niece except their faith. Desperate need of donations to assist putting life back together.

Our sister, Elan, and her 12 year old daughter, are recent victims of Hurricane Sandy. They experienced the total loss of their home, vehicle and personal affects. They were rescued in a canoe from the home and now have nothing but the clothing they had on when they were rescued -- and faith in humanity. As Mom is in final stages of brain cancer, she cannot leave the area. She’s been caring for Mom’s health and well-being for the past 15 months. She had moved back to the family home and did her best to keep up not only the house but their spirits. Although Mom had been moved out of the home a few months ago for healthcare reasons, it had been the family station for over 30 years. There is nothing left. Many items were washed away and anything that didn't is beyond repair. We urge you, if you can’t reach into your wallets, please reach into your pantry and/or closet. Cece wears a junior size 5-7. As there is very little, if any, cell service in the area we only get sporadic messages. We are in the process of trying to get Elan’s clothing size. We will provide a mailing address where packages can be received for not just our family but her immediate friends and neighbors. Any hygiene, clothing or non-perishables are greatly appreciated. To get additional information on their situation, please contact us at racquelmarieanderson@gmail.com or ianmichael2@gmail.com.

Thank you for any help you can provide to help our sister and niece put their lives back together!
