Lauren was hit head-on by a drunk driver who was driving the wrong way on Interstate 575 Saturday morning. She's currently undergoing several major surgeries to repair internal injuries and numerous broken bones. Doctors are keeping her heavily sedated until she is strong enough to wake up and learn of the accident and her injuries. While she's expected to recover, the process ahead will be grueling for Lauren and her family. Arrangements are currently being made to make the Farmers' home handicap accessible for Lauren when she's ready to come home and start rehabilitation there. Lauren loves hiking, running, kayaking and being outdoors. She also loves reading, cooking and is very artistic and loves drawing and painting. Her journey to a full recovery will be a trying one, so any donation is greatly appreciated and will go toward getting her on her feet again.
