This is the Change Julie's Life surgery fund! Funds will be used for medical costs and related expenses not covered by insurance.

When a person makes the choice to have Gastric Bypass surgery, it is life changing!
I was 320 pounds at my heaviest, I made the choice to change my life. On August 4, 2009 I had my surgery. I had complications from the beginning. I died on the table, I couldnt eat what I was told to, what works today wont work tomorrow and so on. So the logical question would be, "was it worth it?" The answer "YES". I would do it again with no second thoughts.
When you start the process they tell you that your body will change and you will be differnent. they tell you that you will have saggy skin in places you dont think of and you say " I am willing to put up with that to be healthy", but you dont really get it! I have lost almost 200 pounds, I went from a size 28 to a size 4. I am healthy and active. But I sit on my saggy skin and it is painful, I have to tuck the saggy skin from my tummy into my pants to make them fit right. think of wearing a pair of underwear that is 6 sizes to big and full of cotton. that is what the extra skin feels like when you sit on it, but because it is attached, it HURTS! pinch yourself, HARD, there you go. When you have the surgery you get so exctied with all the changes, but then you are stuck, it isnt complete, so now you walk around 1/2 done. consider if you had an appendectomy and they didnt close you up because your insurance only covered the opening and removal. Insurance paid for my gastric surgery, but they dont pay for the skin removal. I dont qualify for any loans. Please donate today at http://wlsfa.org. All the money donated goes directly to grants for surgery patients. Donate today and change lives for years!!!
