The family and friends of Ashtin Dorsett are uniting to raise money to help with the expense of her unexpected death.

Our beloved Ashtin Marina Dorsett, 19, of Yakima, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 26, 2012. Ashtin was born in Yakima, April 27, 1993 to Tod and Vicki Lynn Dorsett. She attended Riverside Christian and West Valley Schools. While in school, Ashtin was an excellent athlete playing soccer and volleyball. She enjoyed art and dreamed of one day being a teacher. Her favorite times were spent being with her family and friends. She loved shopping, being active and recently became very connected to the Breakthrough Church. Ashtin was the darling princess of her family, a hardworking and very giving big sister who adored her brothers and they meant the world to her. We celebrate her short but beautiful life as she charmed us with her beauty, her kindness and sweet spirit. Ashtin's passion for relationships, her family and friends was an inspiration and example to us all. She was an extraordinary friend, sister, niece and daughter. Jeremiah 29:11 is the verse that Ashtin put her hope and trust in, it became her foundation. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future." Ashtin is lovingly survived by her parents, Tod and Vicki Lynn Dorsett; her brothers, Blake, James and Levi Dorsett, grandparents, Vicki Patterson-Foster and husband (Chris) Foster, Ron and Marie Dorsett; great-grandmother Trina Parker; aunts, Michelle (Chris) Burch, Rita (Sean) Gasseling, Kasandra Patterson, Tami Dorsett, uncles Brad Dorsett, Brian (Trish) Dorsett; cousins , Joshua, Isabella and Elizabeth Gasseling, Johnathan, Jeremiah, and Gabriella Burch, Gavin Dorsett, Logan, Taylor, Jacob and Jenna Dorsett. She also leaves behind a host of friends. Ashtin was preceded in death by her grandfather, Ray Patterson.
Her smile, love and laughter will be forever with us and she will be deeply missed by all of us whose life she touched.
