Homeowner recently debilitated with mental health issues must sell house at loss of $8,000 to afford to live on disability and pay med bills

About Me:

I am single and live alone, and I have become very ill recently. I have major depressive disorder, OCD/ADD, panic disorder, and Adrenaline Exhaustion Syndrome, which leaves me quite fatigued and debilitated.

I started on disability through a plan at work last month, and I must sell my house to afford to live on a limited disability income, or the house will be taken away from me for inability to pay the mortgage. I have also not been able to perform well in my job anymore due to the illness, and my termination has been discussed. It is possible that I may be terminated before my disability payments begin, leaving me to wait for SSDI approval before I have any income at all.

I hope others will be able to assist me financially, since I am upside down on my home loan and will need additional monies in order to be able to close on the sale. If I cannot come up with these monies, I could be sued by the potential buyer for failure to honor the contract.

Also, maintenance on my home has gone by the wayside during my illness, and although my family has helped with this physically, there are some costs involved in making the property look sellable.

I owe $145,000 on my home, but I cannot list it for sale above $139,000. My home appraised in the $150's before the housing market crashed. There will be closing costs and commissions on top of the sale price.

I realize my current situation isn't nearly as severe as many who wish to raise funds here for life-altering or terminal reasons, and I wish I could afford to give as others do. Maybe one day I can.

My first name is Sven. Many of my local friends call me by my middle name, Roland. Thank you for reading this.
