This is the Hercules Surgical Vet Fund. The funds will be used for veterinarian costs related to the surgery required to repair his leg.

We were able to find a vet that will do the surgery for $600!!

Sir Hercules Adonis, known as Hercules, Hercababy, Hercamaniac, Hercamo, Hercaboy, Hercames, Hercy, Herc and Heramales, born 4/14/11, 9 1/2 months old, is a precious, sweet, young, energetic, loving pit bull puppy. Anyone who knows Hercules has seen his beautiful full smile. Scary at first, but hilarious when you realize what he is doing. lol Hercules enjoys taking long walks with his sister Lilly, collecting socks and stuffed animals in his cage, chewing on bones, messing up folded laundry, sliding down the slides at the playground, licking people to death, cuddling with his human brothers and sisters, wrestling with his pal Lilly, and enjoying life.

Hercules suffered a debilitating injury on 2/3/12 while he was playing at the playground after falling off the end of a slide completely tearing off the ligament that connects his kneecap to his femur. The ONLY way to fix this is through surgery for traumatic laxating patella-grinding osteophytes. The surgery costs $1600. If the surgery is not performed, the kneecap will continue to move in and out of the socket causing grinding on the bone, wearing away of the cartilage, and increased pain as arthritis continues to occur.

Hercules is being treated with pain medicine until a surgery can be performed or he is euthanized. Hercules is limited currently to what he can do. He can’t go for walks. He has to spend most of his time lying down because it hurts to move around a lot. At 9 ½ months old, he is way too young to be handicapped or put down.

No animal deserves to live the kind of life living on pain meds with limited mobility. Hercules recently had an appointment to be euthanized on 2/24/12 because we just couldn’t bear him to suffer long-term. After learning about online fund raising, we canceled the appointment in hopes that we can raise enough money to perform the surgery Hercules needs desperately. Please help us give Hercules the long, pain free and happy life every good pet deserves! Thank you so much!
