UPDATE ON KARRIE!   God is so good and so awesome and he has showed us this right before our eyes.  Karrie is a walking and talking miracle. She had a massive stroke in her brain 4 days after the reconstructive surgery on her face as a result of the beating she endured.  The person that did this to her is in jail and he will be there for a long time to come.  Karrie is out of the hospital and in a care home now and learning to rehabilitate her life so she can start her life over.  Really hoping she can go home before the end of the year, but that is in God's hands and his timing.  For those of you that do not know Karrie's story she was abused very violently the evening of August 8th, 2012 beyond the point of recognition by an ex-boyfriend. He is in jail now and facing very serious criminal charges.   Before this happened Karrie led a very simple life and she managed it quite well as a single mom to 3 children living on a limited income.  She is an immaculate housekeeper and I personally know her #1 concern are her children. She has 1 son being raised by her father and he's doing an extraordinary job given the child's developmental challenges. Her father has always been a positive support for her. Her middle son is being raised by his biological father and her youngest son who has Autism is in a foster home that cares for children with Autism.   Healing both physically and emotionally is going on each day that passes and will be ongoing probably through the remainder of this year and next.  Emotional healing may never happen - this act of violence she never deserved.  Any help you can donate to our niece Karrie's fund is appreciated and we thank you from the bottom of our heart.  All donations will be going directly to Karrie as soon as she can start living life in a more normal way again.   Thank you for karing for Karrie.  May God Bless each person that is touched by this tragic event and keep the prayers for Karrie coming.
