This fundraiser is for Crystal Davies, who has been suffering from a rare Tarlov Cyst on her spine.

Crystal Davies is a single mother who has been suffering for 2 years from a rare Tarlov Cyst on her spinal cord that has grown into her sciatic nerve.

Tarlov Cysts are quite rare and only about 2% of the world is afflicted by a problematic Tarlov Cyst. A problematic Tarlov Cyst is so uncommon that there are only 9 neurologists that are qualified to treat it in the world, and only 4 of the 9 are in the United States of America.

Attached is a link to the Tarlov Foundation's website, it has more information on the disease and the treatment locations. Tarlov Cyst Foundation Official Site

One of these neurologists is Dr. Feigenbaum in Dallas, Texas, the other is Dr. Schrot in Sacramento, California.

The objective of our fundraiser is to raise enough money for my mother and I to move from our home in Zion Grove, Pennsylvania to one of these cities to seek treatment. Our original hope was to move to Baltimore, Maryland and seek treatment at John Hopkins Medical Institute, but before we could make the arrangements, the Institute stopped operating on Tarlov Cysts. Problematic Tarlov cysts are very painful, because they are so uncommon, there is very little known about the disorder, so the treatment options have been unavailable at our current location.
