Fundraiser for Andrew Rowbotham who has a rare form of liver cancer and secondary lymph node cancer

Andrew is 27 years old young man, who was unfortunately diagnosed with a rare form of liver cancer (Fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma), and secondary lymph node cancer in 2007. He has undergone several rounds of chemotherapy as well as radiation, both have unfortunately been ineffective on this type of cancer. He has undergone six major surgeries which have included: Liver re-sectioning & lymph node removal. We now have learned that we need to do Next-generation sequencing on tissue that will be removed during his surgery on the 7th of Sept. During that surgery they will be removing a mass of 5 lymph nods that equal to the size of a lemon. They are growing into the main arteries that run through his body. This surgery will be approximately 10+ hours. Hopefully this sequencing can answer some of our questions and concerns and can locate the gene that is responsible for his cancer that keeps coming back. Andrew need's this done as soon as we can. Insurance does not cover the cost of this. His Dr knows this can aid him in finding out why Andrew's cancer keeps coming back time and time again. Andrew is one of the strongest people I know. He has pulled through every surgery and every round of chemotherapy. Always looking on the bright side and is living life to the fullest. He, as well as everyone who is effected by this silent killer, doesn't deserve what has happened to him. Please give what you can, even if it's just word's of support. Thank you everyone for anything you can do to help him. We will continue fighting until we win this battle. We need the help of everyone we know and even those we don't know. We appreciate everything and are extremely thankful.
