This is a cause for my son Jackson. He is 5 years old and is an uprising kindergarten student at South Salem Elementary School. He was diagnosed in September 2010 with a seizure disorder. He was put on medication to try to control his seizures, however he still battles with at least one seizure a day. We have tried many types of medications and all have failed. He is now on a medication called Zonegran in which he takes 200 mg daily. Jackson also has to battle with global developmental delays in all areas of development. He receives speech, physical, and occupational therapy to help him catch up. We have been to several different hospitals seeking help for Jackson but we keep coming up with nothing. We still do not have answers to why he has seizures or what causes them. We have been denied medical help by several hospitals due to the type of insurance we have. We have found a hospital that thinks they can help him but they also do not participate in his insurance network. We do not have the funds to pay out of pocket so we are asking for donations so that Jackson can still receive the best medical care possible.
