Family pet, once a shelter dog, in need of knee surgery for torn ligament and cartilage

Snickers was adopted from a shelter in Ohio when she was 6 weeks old. She quickly became a treasured companion and family member, barking back to people who talked to her from the time she was a puppy. She went through obedience school, advanced obedience classes, and even did a dog show. She survived being hit by a car on a snowy night with emergency care. She loves to run and play, and especially to swim. Unfortunately, her activity is greatly limited due to an injury she sustained while running down the beach at the beginning of the summer. She tore her cruciate ligament. Her owners opted for an alternative to the $3000 surgery which they were unable to afford under the advice of their veterinarian. Snickers spent her summer with weekly visits to a veterinary chiropractor, who, over the course of 2 months, gave Snickers a clean bill of health after his frequency specific microcurrent. Unfortunately, Snickers only had a month of activity before she was unable to use her leg again. Apparently the torn ligament masked the fact that the meniscus (cartilage) was also torn, an injury which cannot be healed without surgery. Her owners are devastated, having already spent $1000 in treatment, and having their first baby on the way. Funds are very tight, especially as dad transitions into the military, starting with boot camp. The whole family appreciates any assistance you can provide. Every little bit helps!
