The family and friends of Justin Frenette are uniting to help raise money and show our support during this difficult time. May God Bless!

Run, Jump, Play, Drive, Laugh, Giggle, Cry, Yell, Stomp, Walk, Talk, Eat, Drink…These are all components of our daily life activities that we do without even thinking twice about. How would you feel if one day someone told you that you or a loved one may have to relearn those basic life skills due to a potentially life threatening diagnosis? It would be extremely scary and challenging. Well, that has happened to a sweet, funny, caring, & adventurous 10 year old boy named Justin. Justin had been having severe headaches, dizziness and vomiting sporadically over the last several months. Justin’s mom took him to the doctor knowing that something was not right and demanded that he have a CT scan of his head to try and pinpoint the cause. Who knew that, that doctor’s visit would reveal a life threatening diagnosis that would alter their lives dramatically? Justin was then brought to Cook Children’s Medical Center and there they determined that Justin had a Craniopharyngioma/cellular super tumor located on his brain. The doctor discussed the options with the family. Option #1 Surgical Intervention with a long road of recovery and unknown outcomes or Option #2 Do nothing and let the tumor lead its course. Of course lots of emotions were flaring but a decision had to be made. After many tears and deliberation Justin’s parents went with option #1. Justin is currently scheduled for surgery on August 22, 2012 at Cook Children’s Medical Center with Dr. Honeycutt, head of neuro-surgery. This particular surgery will be very intensive and the surgical team will spend lots of hours and diligence, The tumor itself is quite large and many risk factors are associated with removing such a large tumor. Depending on the actual location of the tumor some vital components of the brain may need to be remove, if removed this will result in many complications and challenges for Justin and his family. Justin may have to learn to walk & talk again, may have diabetes for life, and other complications...many of which we take for granted on a daily basis. As a parent I cannot imagine having to face this physically, emotionally, mentally or financially. Eric and I pray for God’s grace and healing hand to guide them through this difficult time. There are so many things that we wish we could do for this family, they are very dear to our hearts. Since we can’t do anything to change what has happened we can help them prepare for the future and the road to recovery. We ask you to please show your support and help this family with your prayers and monetary donations. We imagine they will be faced with a large financial burden and our goal is to help alleviate that in anyway we can. Thank you so much for all your support and prayers! May God Bless you and your families **As noted on this site all donations can be kept anonymous.
