We have 14 days to raise over $6,000 to send a Mission Group to Guatemala to do God's work. Let's help them be hands and feet for the Lord

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."James 1:27

A local non-profit youth ministry, Southside Youth Outreach, is leading a team of 19 youth and adults on mission to Guatemala this summer. The team is so excited to be God's hands and feet there. 9 members of the team will be studying Spanish at the Sevilla Spanish Academy in Antigua Guatemala with one on one bilingual teachers for the first week (May 30-June 9) and then the rest of the team will join them for a week of missions work in Santa Cruz Del Quiche (June 9-16). In Santa Cruz Del Quiche the team will provide a birthday party for 20 orphans, a community soccer clinic outreach, work projects for a local pastor, a 2 night evangelistic crusade, 3 public school outreaches, and street evangelism in partnership with 2 local churches. The planning for this trip has all come together and the team is all organized and ready to go. They are just lacking some funds.

The youth members of the mission team have worked really hard at many various work projects and fund raisers and raised almost $18,000 toward their mission cost. They are currently $6000 away and have just 14 days to raise this amount in order for them to be able to go. (We set the goal at $6,500 so that after taxes from the website we will still reach our goal
Any amount is helpful and this website makes it quick and easy to give on their behalf. Pray that God would do a miracle and that they would raise their final $6000. Pray also that God would use this team in a mighty way to reach the Quiche people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
Please help us with any amount you can and spread the word. It's rare to find such young dedicated Christians with such a passion to do God's work. And it is something to be celebrated and cherished.
