The friends and family of Eric Jones are uniting to raise money to help him kick this battle with Leukeimia! Please show your support!
Eric Jones, famously know as “Jonsey”, is an outgoing and charismatic 19 year old from Georgetown, Tx. It doesn’t take long after meeting Eric to see what kind of a person he is. His extensive knowledge and passion of everything sports, his love and faith in God, and the strength, kindness, perseverance and courage he posses, even at his young age. He is the friend everyone needs; loyal, honest, and dependable. He is the type of person who would go out of his way to help those near to him, no matter the inconvenience . Eric loves playing football, baseball, and basketball. He’s the former corner back foot ball player for Georgetown High, number 19. Eric is a DEVOTED Cowboys fan. He loves camping and family functions. And he’s everyone’s favorite babysitter!
Eric was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on February 20, 2013. It came as a shock to his friends and family. Eric had been in and out of hospitals since thanksgiving for pneumonia, fainting spells, and mono. Finally he had the answer as to why he was getting unusually sick, and it was not a good one. Leukemia. How could something so terrible happen to someone so good, and so young? Cancer doesn’t discriminate. Since his diagnosis, Eric has had the same message “Everything is going to be ok”. While his family and friends are devastated, he has exhibited nothing but hope, and enthusiasm for the future. Since Eric’s medical problems have surfaced, he has had to take a medical withdrawal from University of North Texas where he was studying criminal justice. He received no credit for his already completed courses. He is on a medical leave from his job at Mac Haik Ford Dealership. He has been through 1 (week long) round of chemo therapy so far, and hopefully not many left in his future. His hopes are to kick this cancer, and revert back to the like of a normal 19 year old teenager, to be able to go camping, to carelessly play football and re-enroll into college and finish his education.
So we turn to you - Whether you can donate $1, $100, or just some encouraging words of hope, all will help alleviate the stresses Eric has to face. So he can focus of healing, and kicking cancer’s butt!
If Eric can meet his monetary goal he will first, pay off his medical bills from November –December of 2012. He was uninsured and undiagnosed at the time and had multiple extensive hospital stays. He will buy himself a reliable vehichle, so that he doesn’t have to rely on other people to make it to-and-from his appointments. He will not have to worry about present, or future medical expenses. Eric will be granted peace of mind, knowing that he is taken care of.
With your support and generosity, prayers and Eric’s perseverance, Jonsey can overcome cancer!!
He will finish his education!
He will fulfill his dreams for the future!
He WILL Kick Cancer!!!
