The family and friends of Nate are trying to raise funds for urgently needed cancer surgery and follow-ups.

My son Nate is 28-years-old. In the summer of 2009 he was diagnosed with an osteosarcoma in his humerus. Chemotherapy did not work as well as we had hoped, and in November of 2009 he had his arm and shoulder amputated. Earlier this summer the cancer returned, this time in his lungs. At the time of his diagnoses Nate was going to school (University of Nevada Reno), working part-time and had minimal insurance which was soon exhausted. Nate had been undergoing treatment at the Davis Medical Center under their charity care program and was scheduled to have surgery to remove the metastasized masses in his lungs on September 13th, 2011 . The day before the surgery he was informed that Davis would no longer treat him as they had determined that the allotted number of treatments they were willing to do had been expended.

Nate is in urgent need of surgery to remove these masses in his lungs.

Nate is a brilliant boy and dearly loved by his family and friends. He has a BA degree in digital media and has been working on a graphic novel. We desperately want to get Nate healthy so he can continue on with his life and his work and are hoping that the compassion and kind heartedness of people will help him through this.
