Christian Hannah's family and friends are raising money to buy a rear-entry wheelchair accessible van. Please help by showing your support!

Christian Hannah is 14-years-old and was born with cerebral palsy. He cannot feed or dress himself nor can he walk or talk. Christian is now approximately 5' long and weighs around 65 pounds. His mother, Janet, has been lifting him in and out of his wheelchair and into his car seat for transporting for over 14 years. She herself is only 4'11" and when she picks him up Christian's feet touch the ground. Their current van is a 2003 Honda with over 131,000 miles and is in need of numerous repairs. Christian's younger 10-year-old brother is now tall enough and strong enough to help their mother load and unload the wheelchair but this is a heavy burden and not a responsibility a young child should have to bear. This is done 3-4 times a day when you consider loading and unloading to school, doctors appointments, shopping, etc. since as a divorced working parent she cannot leave either of the boys alone to run errands. The daily routine includes changing diapers, spoon feeding Christian his baby food twice a day, waking up with him in the middle of the night, etc. If we can all pitch in a little to make the dream of owning a handicap van a reality, this would greatly enhance the quality of life for Christian and his family. Just being able to leave Christian in his wheelchair and wheel him in the van would eliminate one large burden of their every day routine. We sincerely thank you... from the bottom of our hearts... for your support!

Heaven's Very Special Child - by Edna Massimilla

A meeting was held, quite far from earth "It's time again for another birth" said the angels to the Lord above, "This special child will need much love."    His progress may seem very slow, accomplishments he may not show, and he'll require extra care from all the folks he meets down there.   He may not run or laugh or play, his thoughts may seem quite far away, in many ways he won't adapt, and he'll be known as handicapped.   So let's be careful where he's sent, we want his life to be content, please Lord find the right parents who will do this special job for You.   They will not realize right away, the leading role they're asked to play, but with this child sent from above, comes stronger faith and richer love.   And soon they'll know the privilege given, in caring for this gift from Heaven. Their precious charge, so meek and mild, is heaven's very special child.
