Help us help Stuart and Laura Shedd during a time of need. Anything helps towards the cause!

On February 8th 2010 I received a call that no one wants to receive. My Father, who is a plumber, was carrying a heavy piece of equipment on a job site, when he slipped on a patch of ice and injured his head.  He hit his head hard enough to sustained multiple injuries to his brain. He spent several weeks recovering from the initial damage. During this  time he was placed on workman's compensation. He was sent to see a battery of specialists so they could determine the extent of the injury. He has been working with a physical therapist for nearly two years now to try a regain some of the capabilities that he lost. He suffers from dizzy spells, headaches, and nausea, and has been unable to return to work due to these ongoing symptoms. Shorty after this happened, my mother received news during a routine mamagram, that she had breast cancer. The outlook was wasn’t the best but she pressed forward. She has since had a mastectomy, followed by 8 surgeries to help with reconstruction. The surgeries caused issues with the muscles of her arm and leg that cause her to need the use of a cane. She has not been able to find work that will work around her surgery schedule. They have no income and live off of food stamps. My Father has been involved in a two year long legal battle with workman's compensation. They can barely keep the lights on and the water running. They are a few months behind on their mortgage and are on the brink of foreclosure. On December 8th 2012 they go to court to fight to keep their house. I fear that they may lose the house and have no where to go. Their situation is beyond desperation.   Where will your donation go? Transportation to and from doctors visits Basic utility bills (electric and water) Mortgage to save their house Food   Please find a place in your heart to help me change my parent’s life
