My siberian husky, Sasha, was admitted to the vet hospital yesterday because the night before she started constantly throwing up, not eating, not moving, she couldn't get up herself. I had to pick her up and carry her. She looked extremely depressed. She's been in the vet since yesterday, they took bloodwork and did x-rays. The x-rays showed a lot of gas in her belly. But the bloodwork showed her liver was in danger, the levels of enzymes are abnormal. And discovered she has juandice and hepititis. After a long night of tears, this morning I got a call from the vet saying her fever went away except her red blood cell count dropped and if it doesn't go up by this afternoon, it is life threatening for Sasha. And also her juandice got worse today. The vet didn't have the results from the liver/kidney tests. This is so devistating, I could never go through anything worse then my dog who is my everything, is always by my side, and I do everything with her. This is sudden, unexpected, unbelievable, and shocking. She is a healthy almost five year old husky loves to go for hikes, bike rides, car rides, and always up for an adventure. But right now her life is at risk and I just can't handle this, its the most devistating thing I've ever felt in my life. They don't know what's causing this to happen but she mustve gotten into something toxic, or could be liver disease, or even could lead to permanent liver damage. Sashas life is at risk right now and she is in critical condition. I honestly don't know what id do without her, she's my everything.
