Arthritis can affect people differently it can affect people of all ages, races, and ethnic groups.

One morning when biking to school, See Lo was hit by an incoming car at the age of sixteen. As she was transported to the emergency room, it may have appeared that there was nothing wrong with her according to her x-ray and charts. However, the battle with arthritis would soon appear later on in life during her senior year of high school. She started to notice the pain on her muscles, the tightness surrounding her skin and the discoloration around the skin surface. She only assumed that it was a regular sprained ankle. She didn't think of the severity of the pain until her mid-twenties when the pain escalated and couldn't stand the pain anymore.

In the present time, See Lo is a thirty year old full time college student with no insurance and has been battling with arthritis for almost twelve to thirteen years. The pain would just appear out of nowhere attack with a vengeance, mostly around her knees and ankle, the pain kept her from simple activities such as: walking, playing her favorite sport (volleyball) and volunteer activities. Recently, she was seen by a physician’s assistant and found out that she has some bone spurs that needs to be surgically be removed by an orthopedic surgeon. Her blood test for sed rates (erythrocyte sedimentation rate) also indicates inflammation within her blood cells and will be seeing a specialist for rheumatoid arthritis.

The money donated will be used to pay for ALL medical expenses only and the rest will be donated to the Arthritis Foundation. Lo needs all the support and prayers to help her stay strong through this ordeal. All of your generous contributions, thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

Lo continues on with life and manages to work around her limited physical condition. Lo always had a positive outlook on life and prayed that one day her story can help make a difference. Lo is a strong woman in her own rights despite the challenges thrown her way.
