Joins us in raising the funds necessary to give our 1 year old working line German Shepherd puppy a total hip replacement.

In the late summer of 2011, our working line German Shepherd, Klaus was diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia. Now a year old, we are waiting for him to be done growing skeletally as he will need a total hip replacement.

Because his hip is always on the verge of popping out- we have had to put a serious halt to his puppyhood. He loves to run and play but we have had him tethered to a leash- in house and out- since he was diagnosed.

We are hoping to give him back his puppyhood with the new hip. In the meantime, we have him on some serious supplements and pain management regime. We are also doing hydrotherapy and massage therapy to build up his muscles, strengthen his back end in preparation for the surgery, and offer him some relief from the pain on his off days.

The cost of the surgery is high because of the seriousness of the procedure as well as the intense and arduous rehabilitation process of healing afterwards. This will include continued physical therapy sessions.
