The Songs of Solomon, An Inspiration Ensemble Inc from Harlem, NY has been invited to sing the Verdi Requiem in Salt Lake City Utah this summer under the baton of Dr. Craig Jessop, renowned of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Founded in 2001 by veteran conductor, Professor. Chantel Renee Wright, SONGS OF SOLOMON remains true to its mission to serve the world community through it’s music. Professor Wright is a firm believer that arts education stimulates children spiritually and intellectually and builds the family through its commitment to a child’s development. SONGS OF SOLOMON gives a sense of pride and ownership to the Harlem community and global community. As Ambassadors of Love, the founders met on a hot August afternoon on the steps of York College and today, SONGS OF SOLOMON is thriving in the Harlem Community serving children of all ethnicities. The organization has spread its wings with the implementation of the SONGS OF SOLOMON ACADEMY OF THE ARTS which now serves several schools in the New York City Department of Education and is poised to be the global model for urban education. The Ensemble has performed with Earth Wind and Fire, Carol King, Elton John, Aretha Franklin and most recently curated by Jessye Norman at Carnegie Hall. Songs of Solomon has toured major cities in the United States, won numerous competitions in the metropolitan area, and continues to serve churches, corporations and major performing venues. SONGS OF SOLOMON remains a safe have for youth of diverse spiritual, artistic and social experiences, in an environment free of prejudice and judgment. We maintain our committment to the development of the members’s mind, body and spirit. The lives of our members have been transformed because they were here.

In our endeavor to purchase airline tickets and hotel rooms, we have run into some fiscal obstacles. We are trying to raise money to accomdate all of the members of the ensemble so that no one is left out of this life changing experience.
