The friends of Gary Livingston are uniting to raise money to help cover medical costs and other related expenses due to his illness.

Many of us have spent countless hours before The Blessed Sacrament, attending mass, and walking the halls of the family center in hopes of connecting with others who share our love of Christ. After we have left, one man has stayed behind for the last ten years to make sure that the floors are wiped clean so nobody slips, the lights are working so that those sitting with Our Lord in the chapel are always able to read their bibles, count their rosary beads, and that the bathrooms are squeaky clean for mom’s with babies needing a diaper change. Many of you may have seen him and not have known his name. His name is Gary Livingston and he needs our support.

He was hospitalized and is now home awaiting to return to the hospital for surgery. He has an $800.00 deductible and $3000.00 of out-of-pocket expenses (projected by the insurance company...could be more). He has 50% kidney function and is in need of surgery on his prostate. As friends of Gary, we are seeking assistance through prayer and financial support for him through this trail in his life. The funds raised will not only cover his out-of-pocket expenses, but the ancillary expenses expected: nutritional specialists, additional home health care, pharmacy, medications not covered by insurance, etc. Gary will also need to relocate from his current residence to one that is more suitable for someone with disabilities. The projected rate is $1120 per month times 12 months with utilities, $500.00 in moving expenses, along with the $3800.00 equals $17, 740.00. After the 7% processing fee is collected from Give Forward on the $24,000.00 expected to be raised, Gary will have $4580.00 left to cover any additional expenses ancillary or otherwise. (they can add up fast)

He has often called upon the intercession of Pope John Paul II and we are asking that many of you do the same for Gary while in mass or in the adoration chapel as you seek the Lord’s comfort and grace. Any donation amount would be appreciated. In the words of Pope John Paul II, "Anything done for another is done for oneself."
