This is the Finding Chase a Voice Fund. The funds will be used for the purchase of an Ipad and Apple ASD applications for Chase.

Can you help us give Chase a voice? Research has shown that an Ipad is one of the greatest tools for a child with a developmental disability. Especially for children who are non-verbal to moderately verbal. Three years ago, Chase contracted a very high fever and became very ill for a week after he received vaccinations. We noticed a change in him immediately. Almost all verbal usage came to a halt. However, he managed to excel at everything else. We did not see any other issues until around the age of three. Simple things that the average child adored and loved such as fireworks, cartoons, and friends suddenly became things he pushed away. We received an official diagnosis of Autism two weeks ago and as you can imagine we faced a tornado of emotions. My heart simply said was no longer beating the same. He was still the adorable, loving, and funny little boy he had always been to us, but suddenly I had a doctor telling me that my child would not be able to do this or be this or have this. For about 48 hours, through a rainfall of tears and the beating sound of a broken heart, I almost believed him. Then on the that third day I woke up, my feet hit the floor and I brought reality to my favorite phrase as I know that all of Hell probably said in unity "Oh no....she's up!" From that second on I have not stopped my pursuit of finding what this child needs. As you can imagine, our medical bills and therapy sessions for him are and will be astronomical. Through hours and hours of research, I have come to realize that my child needs an Ipad as it will give him the ability to learn things that he otherwise might not be able to do. I am a mommy on a mission. I refuse to sit back and pay the medical community thousands of dollars to get no answers when I have heard from numerous sources that his answer might be in an Ipad. A Ipad with supplied apps for children with ASD or developmental disorders can easily run near a thousand dollars. This seems unreachable to us with the currect circumstance of medical bills now facing us, but I refuse to give up. We have applied for several grants, but it can take years for them to be granted. Please pass on this cause to all of your facebook friends and help us in this pursuit to give our beautiful son a voice. Thank you to all of my family and friends for all of the support you have given us recently. Had it not been for your love and your voices to talk me through, God knows I might have crumbled! But God......

Love,
Melissa and Most of all, Chase
