Jack Ferrer, age 5, Needs your help! Please read his story and give this special guy the gift of being heard!

For those of you who know Jack, he has undoubtably touched your life with his bravery... And for those of you who don't, he is an incredible 5 year old boy who is funny, intelligent, and goes way deep... He has the kind of heart that makes you love him pretty instantly. There isn't enough room on this page to describe the inspiration that Jack has been to his wonderful, dedicated parents, his family, and his friends. He's a magical kid, with a big purpose on this earth, and today, you can help to make his voice be heard.

Among the myriad of things Jack is (silly, sweet, and deeply lovable to name a few!) he is also Autistic. He struggles daily, at times, very seriously with the symptoms, both physical and psychological, of his disorder. Like most children on the Autism Spectrum, Jack is non-verbal. It is so painful to watch such a special young man struggle to communicate his basic needs, let alone, not be able to tell his mom and dad if something hurts, or what they can do to make him more comfortable.

Luckily, thanks to the technological leaps and bounds made by Apple, Jackie no longer has to suffer in isolation. You may have seen on 20/20 that there is now an App for the IPad which has been scientifically proven to give the nonverbal a voice. In clinical studies, this App has not only allowed fluent communication by Autistic children nationwide, but also provides intense educational stimulation which helps prepare its users to be mainstreamed into "regular" classes and courseloads.

Between the unending costs of OT, School Tuition, and his adorable little brother, for Jacks parents, an IPad ($500) plus the cost of the App ($200+), is just not a feasable expense at the moment. Which is why I am asking you today to donate whatever you can, to the "Help Jack Find His Voice Fund"... I know we are not funding research, or finding a cure with this cash, but I promise you, you will be directly participating in changing one absolutely incredible young boy's world.

He is such a cool little man, and he deserves the ability to be heard. If you have ever seen the pain in his eyes as he fights through the frustration to communicate, you would know that giving to this humble cause is a no-brainer. So whatever the amount, large or small, we thank you from the bottom our hearts! I am of the firm belief that this kid is here to make the earth a better place. Lets make this happen, so we can make the earth a better place for him! Much Love Charitable Givers, Auntie Aumie ;)
