This is the Help Save Rogue megacolon fund. All funds raised will go towards her treatments and surgery.

Rogue is our 11 week old baby girl. We call her Rogi Bear. She has been diagnosed with megacolon which is a very serious, and in most cases fatal, disease where the cat's nerves don't work properly in order for them to use the bathroom. Megacolon usually only affects older cats so it is a rare thing for this girl to be battling it. The colon gets backed up-hers has been backed up to her stomach-and it requires her being on medication daily to help promote a loose stool. Right now she is taking meds 3 times a day but that can increase. She is on lactulose, miralax and antibiotics. She is still experiencing the back ups and we are having to give her a natural laxative usually every 3 or 4 days just to flush her system out & if we can't do it at home, then we have to take her to the vet. She has already had to stay overnight, be put under and have her system cleaned out. When we picked her up the next day, she was screaming to be held and wouldn't stop nuzzling our faces when we got her back home.

She has to be at least 8 months old before they will perform the surgery on her colon and until then we will have to pay at least $120 every time she gets backed up & has to stay overnight at the vet's office. It is estimated that for the overnight stays and medicine for the next 6 months, it will cost around $1,500.00 We have been trying to handle it on our own but it is getting harder to do so and we don't want to lose our little girl. If you can help, anything would be appreciated, and our Rogi Bear will have a shot at a full life.
