The Family and Friends of Kwesi Aguillera along with "Hands Of Hope TT" unite to help kwesi "Breathe" again Please support this worthy cause

Kwesi Auillera is a 31 year old man that has struggled with sickness all his life with out knowing the root cause of his illness. Only recently he was diagnosed with a rare disorder called chronic Granulomatous Disorder (CGD). CGD is a rare genetic disorder where the white blood cells of the body lack a vital enzyme necessary to fight off even common infections.

In 2010 he acquired a life threatening pneumonia and required ICU care. He was ventilated for 13 days but at the end lived to tell the tale. At present, Kwesi cannot breathe without using an oxygen tank. He has been hospitalized a minimum of 21 separate times during his life... but he has never given up... and he never will. His health has deteriorated to the point of needing ICU care twice in the last 5 years.... But Kwesi says that fighting for his life is all he knows to do.. so he will continue to fight.

He needs a lung transplant surgery to replace his severely damaged lungs and he needs a bone marrow transplant to deal with the root cause of his illness. To date, Kwesi is the only person in our caribbean country of Trinidad and Tobago (TT) diagnosed with CGD... Needless to say Lung transplants and bone marrow transplants are not done here. We were quoted at $250000 to $300000 US dollars for the lung transplant, that is approximately $2 million TT dollars and Kwesi does not have medical insurance so we need help.

Out of this great need the organization “Hands Of Hope TT” was established. The project “Breath = Life” for Kwesi Aguillera is the our first venture.

Kwesi is married for two years but due to his frequent bouts of illness he and his wife have no children. He lost his job last year as a computer programmer but dreams of the day that he will be able to provide for his family once again. We love Kwesi dearly and we want to see him live. His doctors here in TT say that with his tenacity and with the required funds he has a fighting chance to live... And he plans to do just that... Fight to live and live to the fullest.

Thank your for reading and sharing Kwesi's story.
